Don. Diego De La Rosa De La Viña

  Diego De La Rosa De La Viña was born on 20 May 1849, in Binondo, Manila, Philippines as the son of Diego Balbin De La Viña and Damiana De La Rosa. He had at least 1 son and 3 daughters with Apolonia De La Cruz.Remarried to Narcisa Geopano  of Guihulngan  He died on 27 March 1920, in Vallehermoso, Negros Oriental, Philippines, at the age of 70. The Philippine Revolution reached Negros in 1898, disrupting government functions but without extreme violence and bloodshed. Revolutionary troops in the island were composed mostly of farm labourers and other prominent people of the province of Negros Oriental, who were organized and led by Don Diego de la Viña. The Spanish colonial government in Dumaguete and the rest of the island was overthrown on November 24, 1898.
